The Story of Rylee Fournier Photography

Rylee Fournier Photography started with a borrowed camera and a lot of passion. Around the age of 12, my mom would let me use her camera to take photos at my sister’s soccer games. From the moment I got my hands on that camera, I was hooked. I never let it down. Whether it was action shots on the field or candid moments off it, I fell in love with capturing life as it happened. That’s when my photography journey began.

By the time I turned 17, I was ready to turn my passion into something more. I started my photography business while still in high school, and the early days, I photographed anything and everything. At first, I didn’t limit myself. I photographed everything I could: family gatherings, maternity sessions, you name it. I’d even gather my friends and we’d walk around the neighborhood, snapping fun portraits wherever we could find a good backdrop. Those early days were full of creativity, practice, and excitement.

My first wedding came when I was 18, and I was incredibly grateful that a couple entrusted me with capturing their special day. It was a profound moment for me, one that solidified my dream of being a photographer. The joy on their faces when they saw their photos was overwhelming, and I knew in my heart that I was on the right path.

Now, I’m still in college, studying photography and continuing to grow as both an artist and a business owner. Balancing school with running Rylee Fournier Photography can be challenging at times, but it’s been incredibly rewarding to see how far I’ve come. Whether I’m shooting weddings, engagement sessions, or portraits, my love for capturing authentic, meaningful moments remains at the heart of everything I do.

Looking back, I’m so grateful for those early days of experimenting with photography in my neighborhood, because they led me here. Rylee Fournier Photography may have started small, but it’s growing every day—and the journey is just getting started!
